School Council |
The school council was set up by the children in July 2002 and it has been extremely successful. Mrs Judd is invaluable in helping to run and organise the School Council.
A chairperson and secretary are voted from Year Six, who then put into place a fair application and election process.
Every pupil has the chance to put themselves forward and one child from each year group in Classes 2 and 3, along with two children from each year group in Class 4 are voted to represent the needs and opinions of the students in their class. There are three Year 6 representatives because the vote was tied!
The aim of the school council is to improve the school in any way they can. It is also to make all of the children in the school as happy as can be.

The secretary is Hannah who organises meetings and writes down all the things they come up with; Sophia is the chairperson and she takes control and runs the meetings; Emily is the deputy for both of these roles. The council take ideas from other people in their class and brings them to the meeting so they all get heard and discussed.
